September Throwbacks Pt. 1

Do you remember The 21st night of September? Love was changin' the minds of pretenders While chasin' the clouds away

Our hearts were ringin' In the key that our souls were singin' As we danced in the night, remember How the stars stole the night away, oh, yeah

Those are the famous lyrics from Earth, Wind & Fire's song September, which was published a full 3 years before Belize's Independence Day on September 21st, 1981. Nonetheless, the sentiment of the song rings true through to today. Every year, save for the past 2 due to COVID-19, Belizeans ready themselves for a calendar full of events which bring out the patriotism and party spirit of Belizeans.

As a photographer, I have had the privilege of shooting some of the festivities over the years and I wanted to share some throwback photos since I have a nice new website!
